Kiyzassky coal open pit mine is a unique example of advanced coal production. It was launched within a record-breaking term – less than two years since receiving the first license in April 2012 and until the first shipment in March 2014.

Since then, Kiyzassky coal open pit mine has become the most dynamic enterprise and the main taxpayer in the region. In 2016, Kiyzassky coal open pit mine produced 7,59 million tons of coal. The company sells coals in the domestic and foreign markets of Western Europe and Asia-Pacific. About 50% of the enterprise's products are exported.

Kiyzassky coal open pit mine has built its own infrastructure for transportation of coal. Constructed a coal-transportation road of a total lenght around 30 km in hard-to-reach mountainous area. In 2014, company put in operation the Uglepogruzochnaya railway station and the up-to-date loading facility.
