Today, on May 16th, head of the West-Siberian Railway Alexander Gritsai and CEO of  "Vostochny anthracite open pit mine" Maxim Podmiglazov signed an agreement on cooperation to create a new and develop the existing transport infrastructure.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the VII International Siberian Transport Forum in Novosibirsk, in the presence of Novosibirsk region governor Andrei Travnikov.

The implementation of the agreement will expand the railway's throughput capacity. It will help to realize the company's investment program aimed to increase the production of anthracite up to 10 million tons by 2020. Development of coal mining in the region will in turn increase the number of jobs and well-being of the region. 

CEO of "Vostochny anthracite open pit mine" Maxim Podmiglazov pointed out  that reduced use of the road transport and increasing use of railroad will positively affect the environmental situation.

According to him, in 2015-2017 the enterprise performed lots of work in in this direction. "In 2015, open pit mine began construction of a non-public railway track adjacent to the station Evsino of West-Siberian Railway. Besides it completed the reconstruction of the public transport infrastructure facilities at the Evsino station," said Maxim Podmiglazov. "Currently, the non-public railway track, with an active contact network, is unique in Novosibirsk region and allows to significantly increase the volume of coal shipments by rail, without upgrading the existing track development of the Yevsino station".
